Garry Hawes worked in the HVAC industry all of his life. He started his career in residential installations and then moved to a firm in the Dallas area that focused on design build of HVAC installations. Garry worked diligently throughout the years and, with his knowledge, moved into the role of Vice President overseeing the estimation and designing of warehouse office projects. In 1993, Garry took a leap of faith as he ventured out on his own and formed Metro Mechanical, Inc. He spent many late nights with his wife Debbie alongside him bidding, designing projects, invoicing projects, paying vendors and doing payroll.
Throughout the early years, they sacrificed their time and finances to make sure the company was viable and was a dependable business for his employees. Garry wanted to build a reputation in the industry that the work would be completed on time, well designed and that no project was over until all parties were satisfied. Over the years, with hard work, loyal customers, a dedicated staff and the blessings from God, the company has grown substantially. Today, with Garry's retirement, Wesley, Michael and Chris continue to carry on his vision he had at the company’s beginning.
